When Christine Daron, the French founder of African Jacquard, first set foot in Africa she was instantly captivated by its rich cultures and vivid landscapes. This encounter sparked a vision: to merge the bold, expressive patterns of Africa with the refined tradition of French Jacquard weaving.
From this fusion, African Jacquard was born – a Cape Town-based studio and mill where tradition meets innovation. Each textile tells a story of heritage, place and the skilled hands that craft it. The result is a collection of distinctive, travel-inspired pieces that are both luxurious and effortlessly practical, rooted in culture and woven with care.
